We are down to just four teams in the ESWC's female CS:GO tournament, after the group stage came to an end on Friday afternoon. Despite the fact that the community's attention is mostly centered on the male CS:GO competition, the female tournament is also drawing is fair share of attention, as the teams battle it out for the first prize of $5,000. Reason Gaming were able to come out on top of Group A with a clean sheet as they won all three matches, followed by Imaginary Gaming, who defeated O+ in their final group match to earn themselves a spot in the semi-finals. As expected, defending champions Ubinited were able to top Group B, but not without a scare or two. The North American team got off to a great start in their third group match against ALTERNATE, but an amazing comeback from the Germany-based team saw them take the scoreline to 15-14 in their favour. The last round eventually went in favour of Ubinited, who took first place in the group because of a better round difference.
The semi-finals, which will be played on Saturday at 15:00 , are the following: Time is adjusted to your selected timezone |
